Where is your heart?

Looking around, it’s easy for most of us to see the clouds on the horizon or in other words, the incumbent darkness surrounding us. It is not approaching, it is here and expanding moment to moment in this time that calls for us (who faithfully follow Jesus)to be a “City on a hill”.

So where are we the Church… God’s called ones… the blessed hope to the lost in this darkness? “We are the light of the world” or are we?

We are not so sure it really is “The end times”? We are not convinced this is the end of all things as we know them? The evil that has presented itself is so slowly, in so many ways is now being accepted as the norm. We live with evil as it abounds around and in our lives. And as evil persists and expands into every facet of life bringing fear and terror as cohorts it becomes more and more acceptable to us who are in denial. Work while you still have light “the night comes when no man will work

We have totality missed the example of the early church in it’s expectation of the coming back of Jesus. We have intellectually reviewed His not coming in those days and the days that ensued and came to a conclusion since He has not returned; we shall not expect Him in our life time; which is contrary to all He taught. Every church generation is to live in full expectation of His return. This is the hall mark which bares witness to our recognition of His loving relationship to His people. “Perfect love casts out “all” fear!

This premise to live by faith in the love of Jesus has become relinquished to mere thoughts and nothing more then lip service.

As the darkness has become a part of our lives in its ever present growing manifestation and now continues to ebb into everything we do. It is distracting us to the ever present truth of Jesus by drawing our attention to evil rather then the power of Him.
We are coming to fear evil more then God? We concern ourselves more with what’s wrong then doing the overcoming work of love. We have grown more and more into spectators then laborers. Indeed “The laborers are few” and becoming fewer.

So where is “your” heart?

Those that are laboring are being pulled into so many political secular battles… the blind leading the blind for the sake of ego and pride. Holding the head of the church high among the leaders of the world… Who lifts our head… us or Jesus? It is not to be self determined but to be led of the Spirit into the works of mercy… not pride.
What has happened to humility? Do we still not know the difference between works and following Jesus?

Where is your “heart”? We are certain we know where our heads are… what of the love?

The darkness persists, it shall not relent it shall not hold back…
Those who do declare that it is the end times have resorted to the flesh. The expectation being the times we live in and the thought of change is realized by what is occurring around us. This is an observation at best and no revelation of the Holy Spirit.
We still have not matured enough in Christ to know the difference between our flesh and the Holy Spirit in us? And we need to change quickly if we are to endure to the end. “Those that endure unto the end shall be saved”… saved is not just a present accounting of where we are today, it is in its conclusion of total dependence on Jesus we are proved in fearless death. This is the cause of martyrdom to be ready to die as a witness to Jesus. “This then is love that Jesus died for us that we may die for each other” 1John 3:16 read it and meditate on it, for this is our call.

Where is your heart? you who have ears...

The flesh may very well declare this is “The end times” but the Holy Spirit takes exception as to the time and place… “No man knows the time or place/the day or hour
It is not about time and place it is for us who follow to submit. For us who are led by the Holy Spirit, we declare only what “He” gives utterance to say. “You shall be judged for every word that you speak

Where is your heart? What speaks... your selfishness or the Holy Spirit?

The Holy Spirit of the living God through those humbled before Him declares
Behold He comes!
Jesus is returning for those He has called because He loves us that much…
He is not sending some one or allowing us to join Him there He is coming for us…

Where is your heart? Are you eagerly and expectantly waiting “watching unto prayer?”… or do you have other loves?

Where is your heart?

“Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks”

“For where your treasure is there shall your heart be”

“I will see you again and your hearts shall rejoice…”

Maranantha! The by-word of the early church is the cry of the Holy Spirit today…
it is not a sad day or a day to be feared… it is not just any day… it is a day that those filled with his love await expectantly… rejoicing in its coming declaring loudly and boldly… We are the heralds… the voice of announcing… in the Spirit of Elijah…
He comes…
He comes for us!
Behold He comes quickly.

All the love there is forever comes…
