PARABLE for today

Men say... Who says...

Men say who I am… But do they know me?

Men say I am Jesus their brother… but are they a brother to you… or me?

Men say I am the same yesterday, today and forever… but won’t believe I still perform miracles.

Men say I am… when they mean "I am".

Men say bless me Father for I have sinned… sinning more to be blessed more.

Men use my name… believing nothing… gaining nothing. What do they gain?

Men use my name… when they’re speaking for themselves.

Men use my name… when it pleases them… without knowing if it pleases me.

Men use my name… still thinking my last name is Damn.

Men use my name… acting as if it were a password to heaven.

Men use my name… as a blessing and a curse.

Men use my name… know my address… but never visit with me.

Men proclaim the Kingdom… and act as if I appointed them King.

Men proclaim the Kingdom… and themselves the toll gatekeeper.

Men proclaim the Kingdom… with a home in the country.

Men proclaim the Kingdom is at hand… while the other hand seeks a donation.

Men proclaim the Kingdom, as if it were on a map… is it a place… or relationship?

Men praise me believing they can on there own… what is their goal?

Men ask for money in my name… did they ever hear me ask for myself?

Men say they have my power… ask them to stop the rain.

Men wash feet with there verbal teaching… I did it on my knees.

Men talk about my dying for them… will they die for me… or you?

Men who follow have things and ask for more… why? If I have nothing and claim nothing for myself…

Men have passion to speak… but no compassion toward their brother.

Men are sensitive to their own needs… but dull to the needs of others.

Men, few… talk love… but it ends when it leaves their lips.

Men still say I am the King of Kings… few still bow.

Men still give more time to criticism… then to encouragement.

Men still fight more to be the first one out of the Church parking lot… rather then fight to be the first one in… the Kingdom.

Men still want to be free from sin… so they can sin without guilt.

Men still seek me… but few very few follow me.

Men still seek a star… there own.

Men still seek humility… and they hope to see it in someone… someday.

Men still cry out to me in the darkness… but few see me in the light of day.

Men still want to have relationship… on there own terms.

Men still want to give up there lives… an hour at a time… per week.

Men still seek the Kingdom… of there own device.

I am the way… the truth… and the life… and you are?
