Making Sense?
The focal point of the Church is “Maranatha”
the imminent expectant return of Jesus. Or is it?
His love for us demonstrated by His death for us, should leave us
poised not only to hear and obey through prayer, bringing His every
word into action, but us speaking out faithfully of His coming again!
Our failure is not in our expectancy but in our not abandoning
ourselves to His faithful, selfless, sacrificial
love…, which casts out all our fears. Do you expect to see
Jesus in your life time… the answer is no… or the Church would not
be speaking in terms of “The end times” it would simply be “Maranatha…Come
Lord Jesus!”
If it doesn’t make sense we will not obey.
Faith has given way to reason!
This is why we do not love; it
doesn’t make sense!
What makes sense?
Does Cain killing his brother make sense? What is Able guilty of? Is
there any good reason to kill your brother? Or even consider it? Cain
was distraught with God… it was God he could not please… so he
lashes out not against God but against his brother.
Do you have ears… can you still hear?
Hatred is destructive in that it cannot alter its self-destructive
course… it’s so selfish as to be blind to its own demise.
Evil
is ultimate selfishness.
Hate blinds,
binds then channels all its energy and lashes out indiscriminately…
this is rage.
Able is no
longer recognized as a brother but a target that enjoys the favor of
God that Cain has become despondent to and rails against.
The Prophets who were no threat to anyone. had visions from God
and brought these revelations and oracles before their brothers. For
which many were refuted then punished and some killed. Insulated by
fear, disagreement becomes anger, which resolves itself affirming its
justification from a choice of right or wrong to hate.
Once selfless love is removed from the equation destruction is
imminent.
When we seek answers we try to relieve the questions of our mind.
We
try to seek justice; in essence we want to please our carnal man.
That
we, may know why.
Does this make sense?
Does knowing make us better Christians?
Does having loveless answers, provide a bridge for the lost?
Those
that answer yes have no heart and are in the law.
If you are in the
Spirit, the first fruit is love!
Can’t we see the lack of faith we express in our questioning and the
need to have a sense of control… over our lives and the lives of
others?
God will provide what we need… do you believe that yet?
Have we read the book of Job? Read it again!
God’s ways are higher…We forget we were created to be servants…
by faith!
We say God's in control... But... there is that selfish addition of our
ambition showing... in But... We feel the need to lend to God thereby
defiling His name.
We want to be as wise as God… we want to know
what He knows…
Our error is to know rather than to act in love!
Have we forgotten the plight of Lucifer?
What makes sense?
We all speak of being Christians how many practice following?
Do you think for a moment that Jesus knew everything as a man?
For Jesus as a man, the bottom line was “Your
will not mine, Father”
Do you, practice it?
Jesus was led by the Holy Spirit… are you?
If you are led, then you follow… in faith, questions generally are a
way of removing ourselves from faith.
We want to know before we act. “Ye of
little faith” and loveless!
“Love believes all things”
Does love make sense?
Since the resurrection of Jesus we should never ask or say, “What
are we to do?” Jesus will ask us at the judgment “What
have you done?” Can’t we now see, that if we need to
ask, it is because there is a poor example before us or lack of loving
example? That our leaders have not demonstrated selfless love nor have
they instilled that example of a selfless, sacrificial Jesus in us.
The lack of love surrounds us in the body causing us to be fearful and
so we must ask… or look for direction; what do we do now, seeking a
sign.
Those that seek a sign have missed completely the love of Jesus within
them! This is what carnality is, that our motive is selfish, that we
can use all the gifts of God but lack the fruit. We can do all things
but without love we have done nothing.
This is my commandment “Love one
another…”
Have you loved everyone… the task of loving is as endless as
the need is… it’s with us always as are those in need?
As long as there are brethren, as long as there are those lost… we
are to love and it should consume us… this
is a command not a request!
Did Jesus have to seek out those in need or did they approach
Him?
Why then don’t they approach you? Could it be your lack? Is it a
lack of love perhaps?
Those who station themselves as answer men; are
queried by answer seekers… the blind leading the blind!
Or more correctly the selfish and carnal leading the self and carnal.
Who seeks a sign? Do you still seek a sign?
When the young child errs and wounds itself
does it seek to be reminded of it’s error, does it need to be
chastised or does it seek to be loved, and forgiven… if God wanted
these powers self contained then there would be no need of Him, or of
the love He has for us, in and through our brethren.
Does this make sense?
We need godly sorrow without understanding… Jesus wept; He is God,
why does He cry? Why should you cry?
We need godly sorrow now… Humble yourself… Jesus humbles himself
in weeping, are you bigger than He?
We need to pray with our hearts.
We need to share what we have no matter how little we think it is…
giving a morsel in faith can feed a multitude. Have we forgotten the
loaves and fishes?
What makes sense?
Does laying down your life for your brother… make sense?
Yet Jesus requires it…
What makes sense… wanting answers,
knowing what is judgment, knowing what is right or doing the will of
God in faith? Does it matter why God forbade the eating from the tree
in the garden or should we merely obey Him who created you out of His
love? To submit is an act of love. To obey God is an act of love!
Why obey? Do you know the love of God?
“Why do you call me Lord, Lord and
not obey?”
Does this make sense?
"But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;"
Does this make sense?
The focal point of the Church is "Maranatha" the imminent expectant return of Jesus. Or is it?
Well when was the last time you exclaimed it?
His love for us demonstrated by His death for us, should leave us poised not only to hear and obey through prayer, bringing His every word into action, but us speaking out faithfully of His coming again! Our failure is not in our expectancy but in our not abandoning ourselves to His faithful, selfless, sacrificial love… which casts out all our fears. Do you expect to see Jesus in your life time… the answer is no… or the Church would not be speaking in terms of "The end times" it would simply be
"Maranatha…Come Lord Jesus!"
If it doesn't make sense... we will not obey.
Faith has given way to reason! This is why we do not love; it doesn't make sense!
Faith is what is in heaven coming to earth through us… God is love.
"Thy will be done..."
Jesus, who is sent by love, to show us how to love and obeys the father in commanding us to love, not as the father who we can't see but as the son who surrenders His life! Humility gives unto God our all… in our love of one another.
What makes sense… what goes on around us; circumstance? Do we react to circumstance? Do we obey circumstance? Or is there something greater working within us? Is our power external or internal? Don't you know yet?!
Are you moved by circumstance or by the leading of the Spirit?
Or what is in us by faith, to love in spite of the darkness, the unexplained, the evil and the wicked ways of man. Do the circumstances of life lead us; are we citizens of the world first or are we as the family of God in the kingdom by faith.
"Turn the other cheek"
What's first in your life? Do you need the love of God? Are you still asking?
Then be concerned with those who don't even know what they need.
Are we to question or to yield?
Are we to ask or obey?
Lift up the weaker brother… then together labor in love!
Have you been praying? Are you ready to pray now?
Have you learned to pray yet?
"And when you pray…" it is expected of us to...
"Your will be done on earth… as the perfect love of Yours in heaven"
obey by loving!
In prayer we are to seek for the well being of others.
What makes sense; to love in the face of adversity, yes to love our very enemies and do good to them and to pray for them. Praying for their well being not their destruction.
We are to love; Jesus will judge at the end… giving us every opportunity, again and again to demonstrate His love and change their hearts.
You cannot make sense of anything when you live in faith… nor do you need to!
Following Jesus to die on a cross... don't make sense.
That's right live in faith not just talk about it… look around…
can you see?
We are given great opportunity… are you ready to lay your life down and live for Jesus?
The darkness comes, the night falls, will we shine brighter in the light of His love together as a city on a hill... or will you blend into the darkness separating from each other.
Love joins us together; in an eternal bond… selfishness seeks its own in its reward of death.
"Thy Kingdom come..."
and we have the keys... are you bringing people in or barring them
out?
We bless you… who are turning the other cheek… and not trying to make sense of this world but serving in the face of it! We encourage you!
If you need us we are here… ever your brethren in the light of His abundant love…
Maran atha! He Comes…
