Children…of God.
Jesus is the Son of God, therefore a child of
God.
We are by the grace of Jesus, the children of God.
In the opening chapter of the Gospel of John, Jesus is
“The
Word of God” even before the written word;
He is from the
very beginning with God. All things were made by Him and without Him
nothing would exist. And as the Spirit reveals, The Word is the source
of life.
John 1: 12- 13 translates thusly; that because of
Jesus we become children of God.
God is our Father, so now, you may know… If your parents died or
were absent, even by circumstance, if they rejected you or abused you,
or even allowed it, if they liked you or despised you, if they felt
you were a blessing or a burden or told you, that you were unexpected or
unwanted, if they treated you well or poorly, if they were there for
you or not, if they physically or mentally hurt you, if you were the
butt of their comments or bad humor, even if you were a scapegoat for
their own inadequacies or failings or weaknesses, if you feel your
need is to be accepted by them even now or to be loved by them; so now
no matter what the case may be, with your biological parents today or
ever, now you are in Christ Jesus… God is your Father!
You are here on the face of this earth because He
created you… because He loves you!
You were in darkness as to the reason of your/our existence and the
light has come into our lives to reveal the truth.
You are a child of
God.
Jesus said, “The Father loves us as
much as He loves Jesus” John17:23
Once we recognize ourselves as a child of God, we are no longer
singular. We are part of the family of God with Jesus we become
together, “The Children of God” “We are
Children of the Light”
He is the light of the world, and we were created to be in that
light with Him and each other.
Do you know you are loved?
Do you feel loved or are you still feeling empty?
In Christ you must know the love of God and the fullness, completeness
of that love to be a servant.
Too many are trying to serve others without the fullness of, the love
of Jesus and this is the root of carnality.
Carnal Christians serve from self-love. They focus on the gifts of the
Spirit and lack the fruit… which is love.
If we are loved as much as Jesus and Jesus is God… God is revealing
He loves us as much as He loves Himself!!!!
How Great a love… it dwarfs any thought or idea we may have, it
pales any feelings we may have thought were love…
This
is the Good News!
Jesus is all the love there is forever and by the Holy Spirit it
is in us!!!
Dwell on that… Meditate on that, let this be your center… be
filled… be overflowing… and sharing…
This is why joy is the second fruit of the Spirit… When we receive
His love and it overcomes our selfish love, our flesh is overwhelmed,
this allows us to know and feel the joy in us.
That joy is the joy Jesus has for us at our receiving His love, and He shares
it with us.
The joy of the Lord is indeed our strength!
Overcoming our flesh we can share the love that sets us free and
we do it joyfully as His joy consumes us.
You are loved…
but you must receive it and the fullness of it
by faith.
Men have twisted and turned the Good News back into powerless
words, a loveless set of rules much like the law, some have even
reverted to the law, because of their lack of love. Have you? Do you
still have one foot in the law/world because your first love has ebbed
or because you never were filled by His love?
Take the time to dwell and meditate on the love of Jesus, pray and
just get before Him and do nothing but drink from the abundance of His
love until your joy is full.
God is love and those that serve Him abound in that love…
Come back to your first love…
be filled with living water… the
world thirsts…
The world has everything even rules and the law… but it lacks one
thing.
The love of Jesus… alive in you!
Let it be full, let it be your all… The Father loves you as He
loves Himself!
We
are one in His love…
welcome to the family, we are his beloved
children…
Jesus
